One of the aims of the branch and the RAeS in general, is to promote study and participation within the aerospace sector to young people.  To this end, the branch runs several events throughout the year specifically for young people.

The most well-known of these events is the Reggie Brie lecture competition where young members give a presentation on a topic of their choice to a panel of judges.  The winner receives a trophy and a cash prize.  Details of how to enter this competition can be found on this page.

The branch is also involved in running events as part of the RAeS Cool Aeronautics scheme, which aims to promote engineering and aerospace  within primary schools.
